QueenJade Cline-Stokes
QueenJade Cline-Stokes leads An Aura of Love from one belief: love is the closest thing we have to our Creator, and healing is the work of becoming it. As its founder, she weaves birthwork, womb wellness, plant-based nourishment, and mindful movement into one practice rooted in community.
She became a doula before she had the words for it. Her mother was fifteen when she became pregnant with her and was determined her daughter would not follow in her footsteps. Her answer was the birth room: from as early as age seven, QueenJade was an active participant in the births of all five of her younger siblings. What her mother meant as a warning became her calling. Living with PMOS (formerly PCOS), she learned to nurture her own womb years before she dreamt of motherhood, and that journey shapes the hormone-friendly, plant-based care at the heart of Aura. She has no children of her own, yet she mothers every community she serves.
A certified full-spectrum doula, wellness coach, and 200-hour certified yoga instructor also certified in children's yoga, QueenJade has lived plant-based for twelve years and is apprenticing to become a traditional Black midwife rooted in the true definition of community. A proud Spelman College graduate in International Studies, she acts local, thinks global, and holds the world to its promise of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): good health and well-being for all. She is a former front-line activist in the streets of Washington, D.C., and Executive Director of the Yolanda Shiphrah Kadima Foundation. She lives by one charge: become what you need. Known for her grounded presence and revolutionary spirit, she fights for births that are safe, sacred, and sovereign.
